Through my research on alternative proteins in Singapore, I have met many amazing people in the plant-based protein and alternative meat industry. Incredible opportunities too, like an interview with Lisa M. Keefe, the editor-in-chief, of Alt Meat, a Chicago-based publication/news service/podcast that promotes alternative meats, both plant-based and cultivated.
I met Lisa when she was in town for the Bridge2Food – Summit Asia 2023 in Singapore. We met at one of my favorite cafes and talked about my upcoming presentation on the History of Alternative Proteins, the opening for the 2-day summit held at Marina Bay Sands conference centre. We had a wonderful talk, which she recorded, but I didn’t realize that it would become the main article for the February 2024 issue!
